MARSHALL, Mo. – Missouri Valley College took three straight sets from Benedictine Volleyball on Friday night to earn a 3-1 win over the Ravens.
After taking the first set 25-23, the Ravens dropped three straight 25-22, 25-20 and 25-12 to suffer the loss to the Vikings.
Benedictine opened the match with a .316 attack percentage to beat Missouri Valley in the first set but then combined to hit .054 over the final three sets of the match.
Two Ravens finished in double figures on the attack. Barbara Terra finished with 17 while Lucy Drexel added 11. Wren VanCleave set up the attack, finishing with 37 assists.
Defensively, Lainee Mustain led three Ravens in double figures in digs with 12. VanCleave added 11 while Kelly DeMeulenaere finished with 10. Rayleen Gladden led the front row with 4 block assists and one solo block while Drexel finished with 3 block assists.
The Ravens are off until Oct. 24 when they host NAIA-ranked Missouri Baptist University at 7 p.m. as part of Homecoming Weekend on campus.
