CANTON, Mo. – Benedictine Men's Soccer won its second straight match on Saturday, earning a 2-1 win over Culver-Stockton College.
All three goals scored came in the final five minutes of the match.
Sam Gutierrez broke the scoreless draw during the 85th minute on an assist from Henry Mullen. Mullen pushed the Ravens advantage to two goals with a goal of his own during the 89th minute on an assist from Anthony Osorio.
Culver cut the Ravens advantage in half, scoring their lone goal during the 89th minute as well, 16 seconds after Benedictine's second goal.
The Ravens finished with a 13-8 advantage in shots with 7 shots on goal.
Hernan Burdiles earned the win in goal, finishing with 3 saves in 90 minutes of work.
Benedictine hosts Grand View University on Friday at 7:30 p.m. as they welcome the Vikings to Legacy Field for Homecoming Weekend.
