KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Men's Basketball jumped out quick on Tuesday and led wire-to-wire against Missouri Valley College en route to a 69-57 win.
The Ravens opened the game on a 10-0 run, holding the Vikings scoreless for nearly four minutes to open the game. The Ravens answered the first basket from the Vikings with a jumper from Jack Vander Woude that pushed their advantage back to double figures – an advantage they never gave back.
Harrison Kisling scored with one minute left in the first half to push Benedictine to its largest lead of half at 19 points before taking a 41-24 lead into halftime.
Benedictine used 6 first-half 3-pointers and a 40-percent field goal percentage in the first half to build their advantage.
Missouri Valley opened the second half with a pair of baskets that cut Benedictine's lead down to 12 points, but that was all the closer the Vikings could close down the Ravens lead.
Benedictine led by as much as 18 points four times through the second half, the first on a 3-pointer from Drew Purdy just under 15 minutes left in the half, the second on a 3-pointer form Brycen LaRue with just under 9 minutes remaining, the third time on a jumper from LaRue with just over 3 minutes remaining and the last on a layup from Aiden Sullivan with just over 2 minutes remaining.
The Ravens finished with three players in double figures, led by Deaglan Sullivan with 19 points. LaRue finished with 13 points and Vander Woude finished with 10 points.
Tuesday's win marked the Ravens second straight game where they kept their turnover total to single digits, setting a new conference low at 7.

They take on Hannibal-LaGrange at 5 p.m. Friday before taking on Columbia at 3 p.m. Saturday.
