KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Volleyball returns to the Heart postseason this season as the No. 8 seed in the annual Heart Women's Volleyball Championships.
The Ravens will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, to take on top-seeded an NAIA No. 24 at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Championship Quarterfinals.
The Quarterfinal pairing is a rematch from an Oct. 4 match, also at Grand View, where the two teams needed five sets to decide their only regular-season meeting of the year. Benedictine opened with a 25-16 win, that was followed by a 25-18 win in the second set for Grand View. After Benedictine took the third set 33-31, Grand View won 25-13 and 15-10 to take the match.
Saturday's winner advances the Heart Championship Semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 11, against the winner of the 4-5 pairing between No. 4 seed Central Methodist and No. 5 seed Park.
