Saturday's (RV) Women's Basketball finale with (RV) Grand View selected as Game of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the fourth time this season, and the third time inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium, Benedictine Women's Basketball will be featured in the Heart Conference Network Game of the Week.

In a battle of two teams listed in the receiving votes category, Benedictine (21-6, 18-5 Heart) hosts Grand View University (21-6, 19-4 Heart) at Noon on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both programs. On the line is the No. 2 in next week's Heart Women's Basketball Championships as the winner locks in the No. 2 seed.

In their first meeting back on Feb. 3, the Ravens earned an 89-87 win in overtime over the Vikings as they outscored Grand View 12-10 in overtime to earn the win. Four Ravens scored in double figures while the Vikings were led by their "big three." Benedictine was led in scoring by Lauryn Dubbert with 20, followed by Riley Bruggeman with 19. Josie Weishaar added 16, followed by Jennifer Jacobs with 15 and Kennedy Nicholson with 13. Anna Gosling, the Heart's top scorer this season, led Grand View with 26 points. Ella Larsen added 23 while Clearo Murray rounded out the top scorers for the Vikings with 17.

In the first meeting, Benedictine played 9 players over 13 minutes with 11 getting in the game. For Grand View, 7 players saw time with 6 playing over 14 minutes. The trio of Gossling, Larsen, and Murray all played 40 or more minutes while for the Ravens, Dubbert played 39, followed by Weishaar with 35 and Nicholson with 33.

The Heart Women's Basketball Championships get underway on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the campus site of the top four seeds in the tournament. MNU has locked up the No. 1 seed while Saturday's winner for Benedictine and Grand View locks in No. 2. A loss for Grand View locks in the No. 3 seed for the Vikings as Missouri Valley enters play on Saturday with 17 wins. A loss for Benedictine and a win for Missouri Valley gives the two programs 18-6 conference records and the conference office will use existing tie-breaker criteria to determine the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds accordingly.

Saturday's game will be streamed by the Benedictine Raven Sports Network through the Heart Conference Network, which is available online at www.heartconferencenetwork.com or as an app through Apple, Android, Amazon FireTV, or Roku.

The Heart Women's Basketball Championships will take place with Quarterfinals on Feb. 25, Semifinals on Feb. 28, and the Championship Game on Monday, March 3, on the campus site of the highest-seeded team in the matchup.
