OSKALOOSA, Iowa – As a team, Benedictine Wrestling scored 40.5 points at this year's Heart of America Athletic Conference.
The highlight of the Championships came at 174 pounds where Benedictine's Christion Griggs placed fourth and earned one of the conference's allotted bids at 174 pounds to the 2025 NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championships.
Griggs earned a 13-8 major decision in the championship quarterfinals. After falling in the championship semifinals, he earned a 25-6 win by tech fall in the consolations semifinals before he lost in the third-place match. Griggs beat William Penn's Kendal Pugh with a tech fall, 19-1, to earn the berth into nationals.
Doug Blaha placed sixth at 197 pounds, posting a 3-3 record after losing a 4-3 decision in the fifth-place match.
Jacob Campbell placed eighth at 125 pounds, posting a 2-2 record after losing a 9-8 decision in the seventh-place match.
Tucker Black placed eighth at 197 pounds. He faced off against fellow Raven Doug Blaha in the third round of the consolation bracket where he fell 5-2 before dropping a 3-1 decision in the seventh-place match.
The 68th annual NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championship runs March 6-8 and is being held at Park City Arena in Park City, Kan.
