Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

(RV) Men's Lacrosse falls to (6) Indiana Tech in season opener

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Benedictine Men's Lacrosse opened the season on the road on Saturday, taking on No. 6 Indiana Tech.

Benedictine finished with a 52-47 advantage in shots but couldn't overcome 27 turnovers as the nationally-ranked Warriors earned the 20-13 win.

Mac Postel Jr. scored the first goal of the season for Benedictine to tie the game at 1-1 inside the first two minutes of the game. Luke Reger gave the Ravens the lead two minutes later on an assist from Mason Eberle before the Warriors scored two straight to take back the lead.

Postel Jr. led the Ravens with 7 goals. Jonah Salem scored 3 while Reger was joined by Brayden Hope and Joey Calabria with 1 goal each. Eberle finished with a game-high 3 assists, while Jack Northrup added 2. Postel Jr. was joined by Rege, Salem, and Calabria with 1 assist each.

Max Thomason finished 22 of 32 inside the face-off circle with 7 groundballs. Postel Jr. added 7 ground balls. Salem finished with 3 caused turnovers to lead the Ravens while Northrup added 2.

CJ Besuzzi suffered the loss in goal, giving up 13 goals with 9 saves in just under 34 minutes in goal. John Paul Evans finished the game, recording 5 saves in just over 26 minutes.

The Ravens return to action on March 3, traveling to Upland, Ind., for a game with Taylor.
