Women's Soccer bounced back with a home win on Wednesday evening.
The Ravens defeated the College of St. Mary Flames, 4-0, following a road loss on Saturday.
The Ravens scored first when
Christine Znidarsic put herself in the right place at the right time.
Payton Vogelbacher took a shot in the 18-yard box that deflected off the right post directly to Znidarsic who was able to tap it in past the Flames keeper. The goal gave the Ravens a 1-0 lead just over 10 minutes into the game.
In the 23
rd minute of action, it was Vogelbacher's turn to get on the board.
Isabel Agudelo raced down the right side and sent a cross into the box to the forward. Vogelbacher settled the pass and then sent a shot inside the near post past the keeper to make it 2-0 in the Ravens favor.
Rowan Yows made it 3-0 late in the first half.
Jenna Wilken played a cross into the box from the right side and Yows cashed in on the opportunity, flicking it into an open net.
The Ravens kept the attack going in the second half, scoring 19 minutes into the second half. Znidarsic sent a corner kick into the box and
Mara Loughman was there to knock it in for a 4-0 lead, and the finishing touches on the game's scoring.
The Ravens (3-1) will begin Heart of America action at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at Missouri Baptist.
