OVERLAND PARK – Benedictine Men's Basketball earned recognition on Thursday with three players earning postseason season from the Heart of America Athletic Conference,

Deaglan Sullivan was named second-team All-Heart, Brycen LaRue was named third-team All-Heart and Preston Reynolds was one of six players named to the All-Defensive Team.

Sullivan finished the season averaging 16.3 points per game while shooting 56.1 percent from the floor – one of the top shooting percentages in the Heart this season. He added a 5.3 rebound per game average with 104 assists and 42 steals. He currently ranks fifth the Heart in field goal percentage and is third in assists.

LaRue averaged 12.9 points per game this season, finishing his senior season with a 34.9 shooting percentage from beyond the arc with a total of 44 3-pointers. He finished at 46.5 percent from the floor with a team-high 78.5 percent effort at the charity stripe.

Reynolds finished the year with 55 steals and 19 blocks while averaging 6.4 rebounds per game with a total of 185 rebounds. He is currently ranked third in the Heart in steals. Offensively, Reynolds averaged 8.8 points per game with 99 assists, ranking him fifth in the conference.

Benedictine qualified for the Heart Men's Basketball Championship Tournament as the No. 7 seed this season after posting an 11-9 record in Heart play. They fell to No. 2 seed William Penn University the Quarterfinals earlier this week, 88-73, to finish the season with an overall record of 15-14.
