DECATUR, Ala. – Top-seeded Benedictine Women's Lacrosse advanced on Monday with a 20-goal win over Lawrence Tech (Mich.) in the 2026 NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Championship.
Monday's game was a rematch of the 2022 NAIA title game, but also marked the third time the two programs have met in the Quarterfinals. The Ravens were able to avenge two Quarterfinal loses with a 24-4 win over the Blue Devils.
Benedictine struck first, as Kaylen Moore scored the game's first goal inside the first 2 minutes of play. Moore's goal opened up a 5-0 run before Lawrence Tech was able to score its lone goal.
While the Ravens finished the first quarter with a 7-1 lead, defensively, the Ravens were able to stop the Blue Devils 4 times on 7 shots in the quarter. With her second save of the quarter, goalie Molly Owen became the Ravens all-time leader in career saves. She finished the game with 8 saves and now has 257 career saves, passing the previous record of 250 held by Gianna Stalletti since 2024.
Emma Rushing pushed the Ravens lead to 10 off an assist from Alexa Hildenbrand with 10 minutes left in the second quarter and the running clock kicked in for the remainder of the game.
After allowing 7 shots in the first quarter, the Ravens held the Blue Devils to a combined 8 shots over the remaining 3 quarters to finish with a 35-15 advantage.
Benedictine controls possession throughout the game, recording 18 draw controls to Lawrence Tech's 9. The Ravens also finished the game with going 14 of 14 on clears while limiting the Blue Devils to just 12 of 21.
Lorelei Siegel led the Ravens with 6 goals, followed by Rushing and Lile Chekas with 4. Moore finished with 3 while Kiera Russell and Regan Engle joined Hildenbrand with 2 goals each. Mackenna Hill rounded out the Ravens scoring with 1 goal. Hildenbrand led the Ravens with 5 assists, followed by Moore with 3 while Chekas and Izzie Varnarsky added 1 assist each.
The Ravens finished with 14 caused turnovers, led by Russell with 3 while Hill and Moore added 2 each. Moore finished with 10 draw controls and team-high 5 ground balls.
Benedictine advances to the Semifinals on Wednesday at 4 p.m. as they take on No. 4 Keiser (Fla.). Keiser advanced to the Semifinals with a 17-7 win over Reinhardt (Ga.) in the second Quarterfinal on Monday.
