Benedictine College Volleyball is excited to welcome a new group of talented newcomers ready to Level Up the Raven program this season and into the future under head coach Victoria Hurtt. 

Each athlete brings a unique background, strong skill set, and a shared drive to compete at the highest level. Their energy, work ethic, and passion for the game will help push our culture forward as we continue building something special.

Ali Thuet – 5'8" Outside/OPP Hitter (St. Charles, MO) 
Ali is a freshman versatile pin hitter who adds depth on both the outside and right side. She brings a competitive mindset, offensive confidence, and the ability to contribute in multiple roles. Ali competes with confidence and plays with a high motor, consistently bringing energy to both the front and back row. In addition to her offensive contributions, she shows solid ball control and defensive awareness, making her an all-around asset on the court. We are so excited to have her join the program. 

Ava Penuel – 5'7" Libero/DS (Fredericktown, MO) 
Ava joins the Ravens as a steady and high-energy defensive specialist who brings a strong foundation in serve receive and back-row control. Known for her quick reactions and ability to read the game, she consistently puts herself in the right position to extend rallies and keep plays alive. Her consistency, discipline, and strong communication skills that help organize the back court will make her an important part of the team's defensive identity as she continues to develop within the program. 

Amya Cheatham January – 6'4" Middle Hitter (Stockton,CA) 
Amya brings an impressive physical presence to the Ravens' front row, combining her size with strong timing and court awareness at the net. She has the ability to impact the game both offensively as a key blocker while also providing a consistent attacking option in the middle. Her reach and ability to close blocks create challenges for opposing hitters, and she continues to develop as a quick and efficient scorer in transition. Amya's growth potential, work ethic, and willingness to learn position her to become an important contributor in the Ravens' system as she adjusts to the collegiate level. 

Briar Hegarty – 5'4" Libero/DS (Castle Rock, CO) 
Briar contributes strong energy and competitiveness. Briar plays with intensity and a willingness to do the small details that contribute to team success. Her positive attitude and relentless approach help elevate those around her, and she is expected to make an impact through her consistency and commitment as she continues to grow within the program. Her hustle and intensity help elevate the overall pace and effort of the team. 

Carolyn Martens – 5'7" OPP/OH (Santa Rosa, CA) 
As an OPP/OH, she demonstrates the ability to be an efficient and balanced attacker, making smart decisions while delivering consistent swings and offensive pressure. She has a consistent contact point and good tempo control, allowing her to put her team in position to succeed in both system and out-of-system plays. Carolyn also shows strong communication on the court, helping organize play and maintain flow throughout matches. She will be a valuable asset as she continues to develop within the Ravens' system. 

Chiara Abelleira – 6'0" Outside/OPP Hitter (Buenos Aires, ARG) 
Chiara is an athletic attacker who brings international experience and versatility. She contributes both offensively and in all-around play on the pin. Chiara demonstrates strong court awareness and adaptability, making her a well-rounded player capable of contributing in all phases of the game. Her competitive mindset and experience against diverse styles of play will be valuable assets as she transitions into the collegiate level and continues to grow within the program. 

Gracie Olheiser – 5'10" Setter/OPP (Riverton, WY) 
Gracie offers positional flexibility and strong decision-making. She is capable of running the offense or contributing as a scoring option. She displays strong decision-making, court vision, and the ability to distribute the ball effectively while maintaining offensive balance. Gracie also brings a physical presence at the net, allowing her to be a scoring option and a solid blocker when needed. Her composure, adaptability, and understanding of the game make her a valuable piece in shaping the team's offensive identity as she continues to develop at the collegiate level. 

Hallie Walker – 5'11" Outside/OPP (Topeka, KS) 
Hallie is a hitter who brings size and power to the outside. She provides a strong offensive presence and competitiveness on the pin. Hallie plays with a competitive edge and demonstrates consistency in her approach, whether in serve receive, transition offense, or defensive coverage. Her versatility and steady play provide valuable depth to the lineup, and her continued development will make her an important piece in the Ravens' system moving forward. 

Madison Hittle – 5'8" Outside/OPP (Shawnee, KS) 
Madison is a consistent and disciplined player who contributes balanced play on the outside. She provides reliability in both offense and defense. He is a well-rounded outside/right-side hitter who contributes with consistent ball control, smart decision-making, and the ability to score in a variety of ways. Rather than relying solely on power, Madison uses effective shot placement and court awareness to keep opposing defenses off balance. She also adds value in serve receive and defensive coverage, making her a dependable all-around player. 

Mya Schirk – 5'9" Setter (Kansas City, MO) 
Mya adds depth at the setter position with strong court vision and competitiveness. She helps maintain tempo and offensive flow. Mya is expected to make a strong impact on the Ravens' offense, bringing a competitive mindset and a high level of confidence to the setter position. She has the ability to run a fast-paced, balanced offense while making smart decisions under pressure. Mya's court vision and awareness allow her to effectively distribute the ball and keep opposing defenses off balance. She also brings consistency in her touch and strong communication skills, helping to organize the team on the court. With her drive to improve and natural leadership qualities, Mya has the potential to be a key contributor for the Ravens as she continues to develop within the program. 

Rose Cudnik – 5'5" DS/ Outside Hitter (Karlstad, MN) 
Rose is a versatile athlete who contributes in both back-row defense and attacking situations. She brings toughness and consistency. Rose plays with a high level of effort and discipline, often doing the small details that help sustain rallies and create opportunities for her team. Her adaptability and team-first mindset make her a valuable addition as she continues to develop within the program. 

Samantha Silvas – 5'8" Middle/OPP Hitter (Richmond, TX) 
Samantha provides strength at the net with the ability to block and terminate points. She adds depth and physicality to the front row. She has the ability to contribute as both a middle and right-side hitter, bringing versatility at the net. Samantha plays with strength and determination, showing the ability to block effectively and attack with purpose. Her aggressive approach and willingness to compete make her a strong presence in front-row play, and her continued development will add valuable depth to the team's offensive and defensive systems. 

Sofia Williams – 5'8" Setter/DS (Overland Park, KS) 
Sofia is a steady and versatile player who contributes in both setting and defensive roles. She brings composure and smart decision-making. Whether running the offense or anchoring the back row, Sofia plays with composure and consistency. Her ability to adapt and her strong understanding of the game provide valuable depth and flexibility to the Ravens' lineup. 

Stefania Scomazzon – 6'0" OPP/ Outside Hittle (Cassola, Italy) 
Stefania is an experienced international hitter with strong offensive ability. She brings size, skill, and a competitive edge to the outside. She is a physical attacker who can score effectively from both the outside and right side, using a combination of power and smart shot selection. At the net, she provides a strong blocking presence and the ability to challenge opposing hitters with her reach and timing. Stefania demonstrates a competitive mindset and a strong understanding of the game, shaped by her experience competing at a high level internationally. Her adaptability and offensive potential will be key assets as she continues to transition into the collegiate game. 

Tatum Huff – 5'4" DS/Libero (Decatur, TX) 
Tatum adds quickness, consistency, and strong defensive instincts to the Ravens' back row. As a libero/defensive specialist, she excels in serve receive, floor defense, and keeping rallies alive through steady ball control. Tatum plays with energy and focus, consistently putting herself in position to make plays and support her teammates. Her communication and defensive awareness help strengthen the team's overall back-row organization. With her reliable presence and commitment to consistency, she is a valuable addition to the defensive unit.. 

Timari Filisi – 6'1" Middle/OPP Hitter (Waipahu, Hawai'i) 
Timari is an athletic front row player who brings size, power, and blocking ability. She adds strength and potential impact at the net. As a middle/right-side hitter, she offers an effective blocking presence along with the ability to contribute offensively in quick and transition attacks. Her physical tools allow her to impact the game at the net, while her developing skill set continues to expand her role within the system. Timari competes with intensity and shows strong potential to grow into a consistent contributor as she adjusts to the collegiate level. Her presence adds depth and strength to the Ravens' front-row rotation. 

Chiara Duggan – 5'3" DS/Libero ( Bowie, MD) 
Chiara Duggan is a reliable libero who brings consistency and defensive stability to the back row. She reads the game well and shows strong anticipation, allowing her to be in the right position to handle tough attacks and keep rallies alive. She has quick reaction time, solid platform control, and the ability to pass accurately under pressure. Chiara is also vocal on the court, helping organize the defense and support overall team communication. She will continue to be an important presence in the Ravens' system as she develops her role and impact on the defensive side of the game. 

Benedictine posted an overall record of 12-16 overall while posting an 8-10 record in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
