OVERLAND PARK – Benedictine Volleyball's Wren VanCleave was one of three Women's Volleyball players recognized by the conference office on Monday as she earned the first Heart Setter of the Week, presented by TarkettSports.

Van Cleave help guide the Ravens to a 2-1 start during the Benedictine Quad on Thursday and Friday last week. The Ravens earned 3-0 sweeps over Bethany (Kan.) and Crowley's Ridge with a 3-2 loss between those two sweeps at the hands of the University of St. Mary.

VanCleave finished the three matches with a total of 108 assists, at an average of 9.82 assists per set. The Ravens finished the Quad hitting .204 as a team. She tallied 31 assists in the win over Bethany, 40 assists in the loss to USM and bounced back with 37 assists in the win over Crowley'd Ridge. She also added 19 digs defensively while finishing with 6 services aces.

The Ravens host Briar Cliff University at 5 p.m. Wednesday for a Back to School Match inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium. All K-12 volleyball players will be admitted free to the match, while everyone is encouraged to come celebrate the start of the new year while cheering on the Ravens against the Chargers.

Benedictine hits the road for the first time on Friday and Saturday with four matches in Bellevue, Neb., at the annual Bruin Classic, hosted by Bellevue University.
