Benedictine Volleyball return to the court on Tuesday for the start of a three-match week. They host Friends in their final non-conference of the season on Tuesday before hosting Graceland University on Friday. They close out the week on Saturday with a trip to Peru State College.

ABOUT BENEDICTINE: The Ravens close out a six-match homestand on Tuesday and Saturday. They earned a 3-0 win at Friends back on Sept. 4. The Ravens are 5-1 against the Falcons since 2012 with the lone loss coming at Friends in September of 2014. … Stafania Scomazzon leads the NAIA in aces with 51. She also ranks fifth in aces per set at 0.89 and is currently third in points with 306.5. … Scomazzon and Barbera Terra are 1-2 in the Heart in total kills with 237 and 204 respectively. The are first and third in kills per set at 4.16 and 3.64. … Wren VanCleave – who earned her second Heart Setter of the Week on Monday – currently leads the Heart in total assists with 608 while she ranks second in assists per set at 10.67. … As a team, Benedictine leads the Heart in attack percentage at .224. They are currently fourth in the Heart with 736 total kills. They rank second in kills per set at 12.91. … Defensively, the Ravens are currently third in total digs at 958 and digs per set at 16.95. 

ABOUT FRIENDS: The Falcons come to Atchison winners of five of their last six since dropping the straight-sets match to Benedictine back on Sept. 4. Friends had its five-match winning streak snapped on Sept. 16 with a loss to cross-town opponent, NCAA Div. II, Newman University 3-2. … Friends enters the match with a total of 600 kills and a 11.1 kills per set average at an attack percentage of .172. … Defensively, they are averaging 15 digs per set and 1.7 blocks per set. … The Falcons have used three setters so far this season. Sofia Mekelburg leads the trio with 174 assists at 3.55 per set. Amber Ellis has 152 assists at 4.11 per set and Lynne Neal has 108 at 3.86 per set. … Gabbie Taylor is the Falcons leading hitter with a total of 150 kills at 3.19 per set and a .196 attack percentage. The next highest attacker is Mekelburg with 87. Erin Cheatum has 69 while Addison Fulton has 67. … Fulton is the top front-line defender with a total of 31 blocks (10 solo, 21 assisted). Cheatum has 29 (5 solo, 24 assisted) while Natalie Castillo is next with 24 (9 solo, 15 assisted). 

ABOUT GRACELAND: Entering the week, Graceland is 1-13 overall and 0-5 in the Heart under long-time head coach Stew McDole. The Ravens have an overall record of 14-8 against Graceland since the 2007 season. Benedictine has nine straight in the series, dropping a total of 3 sets in those nine meetings. They won 3-0 against Graceland during the 2025 season inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium. 

ABOUT PERU STATE: The Bobcats open the week at 10-6 overall and are off to a 2-3 start in the Heart. The Ravens are 12-5 against the Bobcats since the 2011 season – when Peru State joined the Heart of America Athletic Conference. The Ravens have won six straight in the series and 11 of 12 since 2012. They earned a 3-2 win over the Bobcats at home last season.
