Joel Osborn

Joel Osborn has led the program to an overall record of 38-12 in four full seasons with three straight Heart South Championships in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The team finished the 2024 season ranked third in the NAIA. His Ravens also earned the Heart of America Athletic Conference Musco Team Sportsmanship Award in 2022 and again in 2023. 

Coach Osborn was officially introduced as the next head football coach for the Raven Football program on Jan. 19, 2021. He became the fifth head coach in the modern era of Benedictine College football, which began with the reinstatement of the team in 1973.

  • 2022 Garrett Kettle finished 4th in the NAIA in pass TDs and set school single-season records for total offense and passing yards

  • 2022 Jacob Gathright finished 5th  in the NAIA in receiving yards
  • 2022 set school records in completions, passing yards, and passing TDs
  • 2023 led the HAAC in total yards (7th in NAIA)

  • 2023 finished 9th in the NAIA in scoring
  • 2023 finished 7th in the NAIA in total yards
  • 2023 Jackson Dooley finished 5th in the NAIA in passing TDs

  • 2024 Jacob Gathright finished 6th in the NAIA in receiving TDs, 3rd in receiving yards, and broke the school records for all-time receiving yards and single-season receiving yards
  • 2024 Jackson Dooley set new school records in passing yards (2nd in the NAIA) and passing TDs (4th nationally)

Defense

  • 2022 Joel Mewis led all NCAA and NAIA players with 239 interception return yards
