Assistant Coach Gabriel Ignacio Lewis enters his fourth season with the Ravens Men’s Soccer program in Fall 2026. Since joining the staff in 2023, Coach Lewis has played a key role in the team’s development. 

Coach Lewis is a Ravens Men’s Soccer alum and recipient of the Peter L. Clevinger Legacy Scholarship Award. He played Midfield and Left Back until an injury and two surgeries sidelined him, which led to the discovery of his passion for coaching. He started assisting as a player-coach during the injury while completing his undergraduate and master’s degrees. Lewis holds a US Soccer "D" License.  

Growing up in Hong Kong, Lewis played for Kitchee SC’s professional academy team and Hong Kong Football Club. He graduated from YMCA of Hong Kong Christian High School. He was born to American and Mexican parents, has 4 younger brothers, and is a practicing Catholic.

Coach Lewis graduated Magna Cum Laude in Exercise Science while playing for the Ravens and completed his Master’s in Business Administration in 2022. He moved to Hong Kong to coach high school soccer before returning to Benedictine College. He currently resides in Kansas City with his wife, a Raven alumna, and their son.
