Father Ryan serves as Chaplain of Benedictine College. He works closely with our athletic director, coaches and spiritual captains to help achieve the goal of “Winning within the Mission.” Born and raised in New Orleans, Fr Ryan was a captain of the football team at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, LA. He then attended Loyola University New Orleans where he graduated summa cum laude in 2003 with a  B.B.A. in Economics. After graduation, he served two years as a missionary with Regnum Christi and, in 2005, joined the Legionaries of Christ.

In 2016, he was ordained to the priesthood and graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Philosophy and Theology from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome. Before coming to Benedictine. Fr Ryan served as Chaplain of Young Catholic Professionals in Dallas, Texas. Since 2017, he has been the executive director of the Catholic Worldview Fellowship, a summer study abroad program for talented college students who seek to evangelize culture. He has served full time as a chaplain at Benedictine College since 2021.
