Andi Connelly

Andi Connelly

Andi Connelly has been an integral part of the women's basketball coaching staff since 2008, bringing over two decades of collegiate playing and coaching experience to the program.

During her long and successful tenure, Connelly has helped guide the program to consistent national prominence. Under her leadership, the team has qualified for the NAIA National Tournament 10 times (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025, and 2026) and captured the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament Championship in 2025. Her exceptional efforts on the sidelines have been recognized by her peers, earning her Heart Conference Co-Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2022 and the Heart Conference Assistant Coach of the Year title in 2026.

Connelly began her coaching career as an assistant at the NJCAA Division I level with the North Dakota State School of Science from 2004 to 2005. She then moved to Central Methodist University, where she spent three years (2005–2008), serving two seasons as a Graduate Assistant and one as an Assistant Coach, while also managing student life as a freshman dorm director.

Connelly enjoyed a distinguished collegiate playing career, matching her basketball talent with elite academic performance. She competed at Otero Junior College from 2000 to 2002 before finishing her career at McPherson College from 2002 to 2004, earning Academic All-American honors at both institutions.

She holds a well-rounded academic portfolio reflecting her background in education with an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education from Otero Junior College, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from McPherson College, and a Master of Education from Central Methodist University. Connelly is also First Aid/CPR certified.

Connelly resides in Atchison with her husband, Steve, and their three children: Olivia, James, and Wills.
