Hunter Nail

Hunter Nail was named the head coach for Benedictine College Women's Soccer in March of 2024. Nail comes to Benedictine from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi where he has served as an assistant coach since December of 2016. 

In his first season with Benedictine, Coach Nail guided the Ravens to an overall record of 13-7-1 and a second-place finish in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with a Heart record of 8-3-1. The program returned for it's 11th overall appearance in the NAIA National Championship, taking part in the Opening Round hosted by Aquinas College in Cedar Rapids, Mich. The Ravens earned 7 All-Heart selections and 9 players were named to the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer Daktronics-Scholar Athlete team. 

While at A&M-Corpus Christi, he helped guide the Islanders to a record-high win total in 2019. In his first year with the Islanders, the program went from 64 goals against to 23. By his third season, the team set a program record with 8 shutouts with just a total of 20 goals against. Before joining the staff at A&M-Corpus Christi, Coach Nail was an assistant coach at Fort Hays State University in Hays. While on the staff for the Tigers, he helped the program to a 60-32-10 record over a five-year period while qualifying for the NCAA Div. II playoffs twice, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2016.  As an undergrad assistant coach while earning his degree at Fort Hays, he helped the team to an MIAA Tournament Championship in 2012 and its best-ever win percentage in 2014. 

Coach Nail earned his Bachelor of Science, Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State and his Masters of Science, in Kinesiology from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
