Victoria Hurtt was named the Benedictine College Volleyball head coach in February 2021.
Since taking over the Benedictine program, Hurtt has built the Ravens into a conference contender and national tournament regular:
2021 (First Season): Guided the Ravens to a 15-15 record (10-9 Heart) and a berth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament. Four players earned All-Conference honors, highlighted by Marea Wortmann being named the Heart Setter of the Year and a First-Team selection. Haylie Dickerson earned Second-Team honors, while Kristijana Istuk and Mary Pat Taylor were named to the Third Team.
2022 (Second Season): Led Benedictine to a 15-15 record and a second consecutive Heart Tournament appearance. Four Ravens earned All-Conference recognition: Mary Pat Taylor (Second Team), Regan Bruggeman (Third Team), Kristijana Istuk (Third Team), and Sabrina Oncins (Honorable Mention).
2023 (Third Season): Directed the program to a 21-9 record, a fourth-place finish in the Heart, and the first NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship bid in program history. Six players earned All-Conference honors: Mary Pat Taylor (First Team), Evelyn Arreola (Second Team), Amber Allen (Second Team), Hokulani Sagapolu (Third Team), Regan Bruggeman (Third Team), and Maura Lickteig (Honorable Mention). Throughout the season, Arreola, Bruggeman, Sagapolu, Allen (two-time Setter of the Week), and Taylor (two-time Attacker of the Week) each claimed Heart Player of the Week accolades.
2024 (Fourth Season): Led the Ravens to a 25-8 record and the program's first-ever Heart Tournament Championship, earning a second straight NAIA National Championship appearance. For her efforts, Hurtt was named the Heart Coach of the Year and the NAIA Midwest Region Coach of the Year. Winny Harris was named Heart Attacker of the Year, while Evelyn Arreola (1,000 digs), Haley Cahill (1,000 assists), and Regan Bruggeman (1,000 kills) all hit career milestones. Six players garnered All-Conference honors: Sagapolu, Harris, and Arreola (First Team), along with Lickteig, Bruggeman, and Cahill (Second Team).
2025 (Fifth Season): Guided Benedictine to its fifth consecutive Heart Tournament appearance. Wren VanCleave earned Heart Setter of the Year and First-Team All-Conference honors alongside First-Team selection Barbara Terra, Second-Team honoree Jojo VanderWoude, and Honorable Mention selection Kelly Demeulenaere.
A native of Raytown, Missouri, Hurtt had a standout collegiate playing career as an outside hitter at Iowa State University. While at ISU, she was a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection, an AVCA All-American, a unanimous First-Team All-Big 12 selection in 2012, and a two-year team captain.
She began her coaching career in 2015 at Archbishop O'Hara High School before serving as a graduate assistant at Indiana Wesleyan University and an assistant coach at the University of New Hampshire. In January 2019, she joined NCAA Division II Midwestern State University as an assistant coach, where she served as the recruiting coordinator, prepared scouting reports and travel itineraries, coordinated camps, and monitored student-athlete academic progress.
