Coming off a season-opening sweep midweek, the Raven Volleyball team opened up their home schedule on Friday night against William Woods University.

The total point difference on the night was 12 points as William Woods (1-1) was able to hold off several Benedictine (1-1) rallies to earn a 3-0 win over the Ravens.

Benedictine finished the match with a .110 attack percentage with 25 kills on offense. Fleur Wesselink led the offensive attack with 8 kills while Makenna Ketter was close behid with 7. Sara Rahmanzai wrapped up the top hitters with 5 kills.

Paxton Throne led the team with 13 assists as the Ravens finished the match with 24.

Defensively, the Ravens finished with 14 block assists and one team block while adding 49 digs. At the net, the Ravens were led by Aretha Victalino with five block assists while Ketter added four. Abby Brown led the back row with 18 digs as Thrown and Sierra Kenney finished with 7 and 6 respectively.

The Ravens return to the road on Aug. 28 as they travel to Wichita to take on Friends University at 7 p.m.
