Facing a four-set loss, the Raven Volleyball team rallied to win the final two sets on Friday night agianst Peru State College to move back to .500 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
Benedictine (8-8, 3-3 Heart) finished off their come-back effort over Peru State (5-12, 1-4 Heart) with a 25-21 set four win and a 15-10 win in the fifth-and-deciding set to earn the 3-2 win.
After being limited at the net during their mid-week Heart match, the Ravens finished Friday with a .242 attack percentage while three Ravens finished in double figures in kills.
Fluer Wesselink finished with a double-double as she led the team with 16 kills while finishing tied for digs with 16. Makenna Ketter added 15 kills while Elizabeth Nobert added 14 kills with a team-high .524 attack percentage.
The offensive attack was set up by Paxton Throne, who finished with 53 of the teams 57 assists. She also added 12 digs defensively.
As a team, the Ravens finished with 79 digs led by Abby Brown and Wesslink with 16. Haily Folkers and Hannah Thomazin finished with 13 each to go along with Throne's 12. At the net, the Ravens finished with nine team blocks which translated to two solo blocks and 14 block assists. Nobert led the front-line defensive effort with six block assists while Sara Rahmanzai recorded the teams two solo blocks.
The Ravens return to action on Saturday at Noon against Graceland University.
