The Raven Softball team earned their second straight sweep in Heart play on Friday as they picked up a pair of wins over Clarke University at the BC Softball Field.
Benedictine earned a pair of run-rule wins over Clarke taking game one 9-1 and then game two 8-0.
Erin Ziebarth and Alicia Armijo combined for the win. Ziebarth earned the win inside the circle, throwing five and two-thirds. She gave up one earned run off seven hits with four strikeouts.
The Ravens recorded 11 hits at the plate. Alex Burris, Blair Shanks, Abby Hyde, Sarah Methvin and Lily Ross recorded two hits at the plate. Hyde, Ray and Shanks added a double each. Ray led the way with three RBI while Burris and Ross added two RBI each.
In game two, The Ravens sent four pitchers to the circle. Alex Gilham earned the win. She threw the first three and one-third innings before Armijo, Jalen Gonzales and Brianna Hoffman finished the game.
Shanks continued to swing a hot bat for the Ravens. Of her three hits, she recorded two doubles and a home run while scoring three times and driving in three. Burris added two hits to round out the Ravens offensive efforts.
The Ravens continue their homestand on Sunday at Noon with Mount Mercy University.
