It took 19 runs to earn it, but the Raven Baseball team sent out their senior class on Saturday with a sweep over Graceland University on Laughlin Field at Olsen Stadium.
After winning game one 10-6, the Ravens earned a walk-off win over the Yellowjackets in game two, 19-18.
In the opener, the Ravens jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings but then needed a three-run sixth inning to distance themselves from the Yellowjackets after Graceland scored six unanswered.
Trevor Alpert earned the start and threw four innings before he was relieved by Ben Costello, Issac Rudolph and Jacob Curry. Alpert earned the win and Curry fell just short on the necessary requirements to earn a save.
The Ravens recorded five extra base hits in game one. Danny Favazza went 3 for 3 with three runs, a double and RBI. Jordan Williams finished with a double and home run. Logan Finley added a double while Austin Watamaniuk finished with a triple.
In game two, the two teams combined to send 12 pitchers to the mound in the slugfest. Ben Hankammer earned the win, throwing the final inning. Curry threw two and two-thirds to put the Ravens in position to win.
After Finley hit his second home run of the game to put the Ravens up 18-16 into the sixth innings, the Ravens needed a Williams' walk-off single in the seventh to earn the win and the sweep.
Williams finished going 4 of 6 at the plate with a home run and five RBIs. Finley finished with four RBIs off two hits. Watamaniuk and Jacob Pavlyak added a double each. Daryl Myers finished with three RBIs to round out the Ravens efforts at the plate.
The Ravens wrap up their homestand on Tuesday with a 2 p.m. non-conference meeting with Friends University.
