DES MOINES – The (5) Raven Women's Soccer team opened up Heart of America Athletic Conference play on Tuesday night with a road win over Grand View University.

Benedictine (7-1-0, 1-0-0 Heart) scored during each half en route to a 2-0 win over Grand View (1-4-1, 0-1-0 Heart).

Nicole Kelly scored the Ravens first goal of the match during the 13th minute. That lead stood until the 65th minute when Emily Ambuul scored on a long pass from Olivia Berry.

Benedictine finished with a 21-13 advantage in shots as Berry and Ashley Rehagen combined for the shutout over the Vikings. Of the Ravens 21 shots, 14 were on goal.

The Ravens return home on Saturday for a 5 p.m. match back on campus against William Penn University.
