LAMONI, Iowa – Raven Women's Soccer secured their fifth shutout in Heart of America Athletic Conference play on Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Graceland University.
Benedictine scored goals in each half en route to the win that moved their conference mark to 7-1-1.
Emma Strecker assisted on the first goal of the match when Riley Degner got the scoring started for the Ravens in the 3rd minute of the match and then Natalie Duque added an insurance goal during the 48th minute converting on a penalty kick.
Benedictine finished with a 17-11 advantage in shots and a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal. Strecker led the way with five while Rachel Beffa finished with four.
Olivia Berry and Ashley Rehagen shared the shutout, playing 45 minutes in goal for the Ravens. Each keeper recorded two saves each in the win.
Benedictine remains on the road on Saturday, traveling to Mount Mercy University to take on the Mustangs. They will then be off until Nov. 14 when they will host their season finale against Clarke University on Legacy Field at 5 p.m.
