The Raven Baseball team continued their winning ways on Laughlin Field at Olsen Stadium on Sunday as they picked up a 9-2 win over the University of St. Mary.
After spending time on Friday and Saturday removing the snow that fell early in the week, the Ravens were able to win their sixth straight with the seven-run win over the Spires.
Michael Kruse earned the start for the Ravens and allowed one unearned run off four hits over seven innings to earn the win. She finished with two strikeouts while giving three flyouts and 11 ground outs before giving way to Hunter Ostertag and Dillon Elliot who combined to finish the game.
At the plate, the Ravens finished with 13 hits, five for extra bases, in support of Kruse, Ostertag, and Elliot. Michael Slaten went 4 for 5 with a double, home run and two RBI. Jacob Pavlyak and Daryl Myers finished with a home run each while Drew Piontek added a double. Pavlyak drove in a team-high 3 RBI, Myers finished with two while Piontek added one.
The Ravens continued to stay aggressive on the bases as they went 4 for 5 on stolen bases. Piontek stole two while Austin Watamaniuk and Jordan Williams finished with one each.
Benedictine remains at home for a 2:30 p.m. game on Monday against USM before hosting a doubleheader against Dordt University at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
