(2) Women's Lacrosse earns 14-point win over (RV) Indiana Tech

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The (2) Raven Women's Lacrosse team opened up their Spring Break trip on Sunday with a 16-2 win over (RV) Indiana Institute of Technology at the University of the Cumberlands.

Benedictine (4-1) scored 10 second-half goals to turn a five-point halftime lead into a 14-point win over Indiana Tech (1-3).

The Ravens scored four goals inside the first four minutes of the second half to open up the game against the Warriors.

Natalie Wechter scored a game-high five goals to lead the Ravens, scoring three straight to open the second half. Molly Muehlebach and Kacey Moore scored three while Mary McEnerney added two. Anne Marie Mannella, Megan Rossman, and Clare Ryan scored one goal each to round out the Ravens scoring efforts. Ryan, Muehlebach and Aiden McEnerney recorded two assists each while Wechter, Mannella, and Moore finished with one assist each.

The Ravens finished with a 48-12 advantage in shots while recording 37 shots on goal. Moore finished with eight of the teams 13 draw controls, which helped lead to the offensive onslaught to start the second half as the Ravens won 9 of 12 in the second half.

Taryn St. Louis earned the win in goal recording six saves over 60 minutes. Ryan and Mary McEnerney led the Ravens with two caused turnovers each as the Ravens finished with eight caused turnovers while forcing Indiana Tech into 20.

The Ravens will take on (2) Cumberlands on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in a battle of NAIA-ranked opponents. Tuesday's meeting will be third between the two schools since the start of the 2019 season. Benedictine earned a 16-12 win at home and then a 14-10 win over the Patriots in the 2019 NAIA National Invitational Tournament.
