A night after earning a 3-0 sweep on the road against MNU, Raven Volleyball returned home on Saturday to take on No. 5 Park University inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium as part of the annual Family Weekend on campus.
Benedictine remained in the match throughout, but the Pirates did what they needed to in order to earn the sweep over the Ravens 25-17, 25-22, 25-16.
After dropping the opener, the Ravens used a .448 attack percentage in the second set and pushed the Pirates down to the wire before suffering the three-point loss.
Park finished the match with a .356 attack percentage and 7 team blocks that kept Benedictine to just .172 on their attack over the three sets.
Joslyn Lewis and Haylie Dickerson led the Ravens attack with 10 kills each while Regan Bruggeman added 9. Marea Wortmann set up the attack with 35 assists.
Defensively, Kristijana Istuk anchored the Ravens backline with 17 of the teams' 36 digs. Lewis and Dickerson finished with two block assists each.
Benedictine returns to the road on Tuesday, traveling to Springfield, Mo., for their second match of the season against Evangel.
