SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Raven Volleyball hit a match-high .235 in their second set win over Evangel University on Tuesday night inside the Ashcroft Center but couldn't overcome a negative hitting percentage in sets three and four and suffered the 3-1 loss to the Valor.
After dropping the opening set, Benedictine rallied for a 28-26 win in the second set. Evangel held the Ravens to a total of 12 kills over the final two sets of the match to earn the win and split the regular-season series.
The Ravens finished the match with a .034 attack percentage and a total of 41 kills. Joslyn Lewis led the attack with 11 kills while Regan Bruggeman added 9. Marea Wortman anchored the offensive attack as she finished with 32 of the Ravens 41 assists.
Evangel finished the match with four solo blocks and 14 block assists, which played a key factor in the Ravens low attack percentage.

Benedictine remains on the road Friday and Saturday. They head to Mount Mercy University on Friday before wrapping up their road swing at Clarke University on Saturday. They return home on Oct. 12 to take on Baker University at 7 p.m. inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
