PARKVILLE, Mo. – Park University earned a 3-0 win over Men's Soccer on Wednesday night as the Heart scheduled entered the home stretch for both programs.
The Pirates scored twice in the first half and added the third goal during the 84th minute to secure the win.
Park held Benedictine to just six total shots with Girma Kassa leading the way with two. Carlos Flores suffered the loss, playing all 90 minutes in goal. He recorded five saves while giving up the three goals.
The loss pushes the Ravens outside of the top eight in the Heart standings with three matches remaining. Sitting at 3-5-1 in Heart play, the Ravens are now a game behind Park for eighth place and 1.5 games behind Clarke University for seventh place. Two of the remaining three matches for the Ravens are with programs that are behind them in the Heart standings, starting with Graceland University at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night on Legacy Field.
