WICHITA – Natalie Wechter has been named the KCAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for efforts in the Ravens win over Missouri Baptist University on Saturday.
This week's honor marks the seventh overall for the program and the fourth time that Wechter has been recognized by the KCAC and the third time she has been named the Offensive Player of the Week.
Wechter scored a game-high five goals in the Ravens 19-2 win over the Spartans on Legacy Field. The win over Missouri Baptist allowed the Ravens to clinch their fifth KCAC title in six seasons.
On the season, Wechter now has 40 goals – third-most in the KCAC. She also has registered 23 assists for a total of 63 points – second-most in the KCAC. Defensively, she leads the KCAC in draw controls with 85 while also recording 25 ground balls and 8 caused turnovers.
The Ravens wrap up the regular season today at 4 p.m. in Ottawa. They will host a KCAC Quarterfinal game on Saturday, at a yet-to-be-determined time. Benedictine will also host the Semifinal and Championship rounds on campus with Legacy Field serving as the host for the 2021 KCAC Lacrosse Championship.
