LAMONI, Iowa – Raven Men's Basketball ran their winning streak to four on Saturday as they earned an 80-68 win over Graceland University.

Benedictine dominated play in the post, outscore Graceland 40-16. The 40 points in the paint marked the third time this season the Ravens finished with 40 or more points in the paint.

Graceland led early before Benedictine got their offense going. A 3-pointer from Nysir Scott tied the game and then 3-pointers from Jake Thompson and Matt Austin pushed the Ravens in front by double figures for the first time. Scott gave the Ravens a 13-point lead on a basket inside with 8 minutes remaining in the half. By halftime, Graceland cut the Benedictine lead to 7 points.

A pair of 3-pointers by Graceland to open the second half cut Benedictine's lead down to 3 points but a five-point swing by Jaiden Bristol pushed Benedictine back ahead by 10. Saxton Thuston scored 6 of his team-high 19 points to help keep the Yellowjackets at arm's length inside the first five minutes of the second half and a shot by Austin put the Ravens back ahead by double figures and margin they would keep the remainder of the game.

The Ravens had three other players join Thuston in double figures as he also added 9 rebounds. Austin finished with 18, Bristol added 16 while Tyson Cathy added 10/ 

Benedictine remains on the road Wednesday, traveling to Baldwin City for a 7:30 p.m game with Baker University.
