OTTAWA – Raven Volleyball stepped out of conference play on Tuesday night to take on (RV) Ottawa University in their final non-conference match of the season.
The Braves earned a 3-0 sweep over the Ravens, handing Benedictine their sixth straight loss.
Ottawa limited Benedictine to a .099 attack percentage as the Braves registered 8 block assists and 2 solo blocks. Mary Pat Taylor led the Ravens attack with 9 kills followed by Joslyn Lewis with 8.
Marissa Mantz and Haley Cahill anchored the offensive attack for the Ravens. Mantz finished the match with 15 assists while Cahill added 11 assists.
Evelyn Arreola led the backline defensive effort, finishing the match with 10 digs. Cahill and Kristijana Istuk added 7 digs each. Lewis and Haylie Dickerson finished with 1 block assist to round out the defensive efforts for Benedictine.
The Ravens remain on the road for their final two Heart cross-division matches of the season. They take on William Penn University on Friday in Oskaloosa, Iowa, before wrapping up the weekend with a trip to Des Moines to take on Grand View University.
