Volleyball split their final two Heart cross-divisional matches of the season on Friday and Saturday, beating William Penn University 3-1 on Friday before falling 3-1 to Grand View University on Saturday.
After falling 27-25 in the opening set on Friday against William Penn, the Ravens rattled off three straight to snap their six-match losing streak.
Five players reached double figures in kills as the Ravens finished the match with 72 kills. Joslyn Lewis led the way with 17 kills while Maura Lickteig added 15. Regan Bruggeman added 14, followed by Mary Pat Taylor with 11 and Haylie Dickerson with 10. Haley Cahill helped anchor the attack with 35 assists while Marissa Mantz added 28.
Defensively, four Ravens finished in double figures in digs. Taylor led the way with 18 while Kristijana Istuk added 14. Cahill finished with 12 while Evelyn Arreola added 10. Dickerson finished with 5 block assists while Taylor, Lewis, and Lickteig added 2 each. Dickerson and Lickteig added a solo block each.
Saturday, the Ravens tied the match with a 25-20 win in set two before the Vikings rattled off two straight to earn the win.
Lewis led the attack with 21 kills while Bruggeman added 16. Taylor finished with 8 to round out the top hitters for the Ravens. Mantz helped anchored the offensive attack with 25 assists while Cahill finished with 17.
Defensively, Taylor led the backline effort with 25 digs while Istuk added 24. Sabrina Oncins added 10 digs to round out the backline efforts while Lickteig added 3 block assists with Lewis adding 2.
The Ravens remain on the road on Thursday, traveling to No. 11 MNU before they return to open up a two-game homestand on Saturday as they host No. 14 Park University at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
