Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's Lacrosse remains undefeated in KCAC play with win over Midland

Raven Men's Lacrosse moved to 3-0 in KCAC play on Saturday as they pulled away late against Midland University on Legacy Field.

Days after dropping a tough non-conference game, the No. 7-ranked Ravens bounced back on Friday to earn a 17-10 win over the Warriors.

Benedictine turned a 7-6 halftime lead into a 13-7 advantage after the third quarter and then held Midland to just 7 shots in the fourth quarter en route to the 7-goal win.

Midland found the net first to start off the game before Benedictine scored back-to-back goals from Sean Molyneux and Joseph Doyle. The Warriors added three more goals before the end of the period and led 4-3 after 15 minutes. Brady Guck opened the second quarter with three straight goals to give Benedictine their first lead of the second quarter. It was a lead the Ravens gave back.

The Ravens finished with a 45-30 advantage in shots. Midland goalie Jamison Evers kept the Warriors in the game, finishing with 16 saves or else the outcoming would have been an even wider margin for Benedictine.

Guck finished with 7 goals and 4 assists. Michael Hogan added 3 goals and 1 assist while James Carson, Molyneux and Doyle finished with 2 goals each. Carson added 3 assists while Hogan and Doyle finished with 1 assist each.

Duncan Loud earned the win in goal, finishing with five saves. Defensively, the Ravens finished with 15 caused turnovers. Carson Huerter and Jacob Clipperton led the defensive efforts with 3 each. Liam Waldron was 13 of 31 on faceoffs and was second behind Loud's 7 groundballs with 6.

The Ravens hit the road on March 18 for their first road KCAC contest of the season, traveling to Oskaloosa, Iowa, to take on William Penn University.
