(8) Men's Lacrosse bounces back with Senior Day win over Clarke University, 19-3

Men's Lacrosse was able to bounce back from their first loss in KCAC play Friday with a 19-3 win over Clarke University on Saturday afternoon.

Benedictine celebrated Senior Day with an impressive win to keep pace toward the top of the KCAC standings improving to 5-1 in conference play.

The Ravens opened the game with a 26-0 advantage in shots after the first quarter and limited the Pride to just two shots in the second quarter before finishing the game with a 76-9 advantage. Benedictine took a 14-0 lead into halftime and then worked their offensive sets more in the third and fourth quarter outscoring the Pride 5-3.

Brady Guck led the Ravens in scoring with 6 goals and 2 assists. Jordan Rodriguez added 4 goals and 1 assist while Michael Hogan and Sean Molyneux scored 3 goals each with Molyneux adding 3 assists and Hogan 1. Nicholas Petree, Joseph Doyle, and Aiden Richardson scored 1 goal each while Doyle finished with 2 assists. 

The Ravens finished the game winning 24 of 25 faceoffs as Joseph Bianchi went 15 of 16 with 12 ground balls while Liam Waldron went 9 of 9 with 6 ground balls.

Defensively, the Ravens finished with 15 caused turnovers as the Pride committed 35 total turnovers. Carson Huerter, Connor Buckley, and Hogan led the way with 3 caused turnovers each. Duncan Loud earned the win in goal, recording 1 save as the Ravens limited the Pride to just 4 shots on goal.

Benedictine hits the road for a three-game swing, facing off with (RV) Columbia (Mo.) on Wednesday, Missouri Baptist on April 2, and Missouri Valley on April 9. They return home to wrap up the regular season with games on April 10 with (3) Cumberlands (Ky.) and (RV) Ottawa on April 12.
