(RV) Columbia holds off second-half comeback from (8) Men's Lacrosse

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Despite a strong comeback effort over the third and fourth quarters, (8) Raven Men's Lacrosse dropped their second KCAC game of the season on Wednesday night, 12-10, to (RV) Columbia College.

A late goal from the Cougars gave them a 4-3 lead over the Ravens after the first quarter, but the difference in the game ended up playing out over the second quarter. Columbia held Benedictine scoreless over the second quarter while scoring four unanswered to take an 8-3 lead into halftime.

Columbia came out of the halftime break and added their ninth goal of the game before Benedictine answered with goals by Jordan Rodriguez, Joseph Doyle, and Brady Guck. The comeback was on for Benedictine at that point as they outscored Columbia 5-3 in the third and limited the Cougars to just one more goal in the fourth. Goals from James Carson and Michael Hogan closed the deficit down to two goals in the fourth quarter, but neither team was able to score over the final 4:37 as Columbia earned the upset.
