ST. LOUIS – Men's Lacrosse bounced back from a mid-week loss on Saturday night with a 20-3 win over Missouri Baptist University.
No. 8-ranked Benedictine led 7-1 at the half and then exploded for 8 goals in the third quarter en route to the win over the Spartans.
Jordan Rodriguez led the Ravens with 5 goals as Benedictine finished with a 63-20 advantage in shots. After scoring the second goal of the game, Rodriguez scored at the end of the first half to make it 7-1 at the break and then started off the third quarter with two straight.
Michael Hogan added 3 goals and 3 assists while Curtis Wesley, Nicholas Petree, and James Carson scored 2 goals each. Joseph Bianchi, Brady Guck, Liam Waldron, Sean Molyneux, Thomas Swartout, and James Withers scored one goal each. Aiden Richardson finished with 2 assists while Bianchi, Wesley, Waldron, Carson, and Withers added an assist each.
Duncan Loud finished the game with 8 saves in goal for the Ravens. Bianchi finished 11 of 18 on faceoffs while the Ravens finished with 9 caused turnovers. Connor Buckley was the lone Ravens in double figures with 2.
Benedictine takes on Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo., on April 9 before returning home to host NAIA-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) on April 10.
