Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

(6) Women's Lacrosse moves to 6-0 in KCAC play with 29-1 win over Clarke

Women's Lacrosse continued their KCAC winning streak on Saturday as they celebrated Senior Day with a 29-1 win over Clarke University. The scoring effort set a new single-game high and just missed the program record for single-game scoring of 30 set in 2021.

The No. 6-ranked Ravens ran their conference season record to 6-0 while moving their KCAC winning streak to 38 games with two remaining games in the conference regular season.

Benedictine scored 24 straight goals before Clarke found the back of the net on a free-position goal late in the third quarter. The Ravens limited the Pride to just one shot in the first quarter and two shots after three quarters as they finished the game with a 52-5 advantage.

Natalie Wechter scored 8 goals to lead the Ravens attack. Her scoring effort marked the third time this season a member of the team has scored 8 goals in a single game. Aidan McEnerney added 7 goals while she led the team with 8 assists, setting a new season high for single-game assists. Rianna England, Erica Odell, and Brooke Rauber scored three goals each, Elizabeth Conley scored twice and Clare Ryan, Margaux Gelbach, and Grace Simonson scored one goal each. Ryan finished with 6 assists, followed by Simonson and Conley with 3 each, Wechter and Odell with 2 each, and England with 1.

Defensively, the Ravens finished with 10 caused turnovers as the Pride committed 19. Odell and Wechter led the way with 3 caused turnovers each while they both finished with 8 draw controls. Gelbach chipped in with 6 while England added 3. Gianna Stalletti earned the win in goal, playing the first half while Quincy Dolan finished the game with two saves.

The Ravens return to the road on April 2, traveling to St. Louis, Mo., to take on No. 8 Missouri Baptist University before closing out the regular season at home on April 12 against Ottawa University on Legacy Field.
