ST. LOUIS – Women's Lacrosse secured their sixth straight KCAC regular-season championship on Saturday with a 16-3 win over Missouri Baptist University. The No. 6-ranked Ravens have now one every potential KCAC regular-season championship since the KCAC began competition in 2016.
Benedictine moves to 10-1 overall and is now 7-0 in KCAC play with the win over the No. 8-ranked Spartans.
The Ravens opened the game with 10 straight goals as Erica Odell scored the opening two goals. The Ravens led 6-0 after the first quarter and 10-1 at the half. Benedictine added six more goals in the third and fourth quarters and played the entire fourth quarter with a running close as their lead never dropped below 10 goals.
Odell finished the game with 6 goals while Natalie Wechter added 5 goals. Grace Simonson added 2 goals and 2 assists while Marguex Gelbach, Clare Ryan, and Elizabeth Conley scored one goal each. Simonson and Aiden McEnerney finished with 2 goals each while Conley finished with 3 each.
Gianna Stalletti earned the win in goal, recording 9 saves. Odell led the team with 2 caused turnovers while adding 4 ground balls. Rianna England led the Ravens with 5 ground balls while Wechter and Odell finished with 6 and 4 draw controls each.
The Ravens are off until April 12 when they host Ottawa University at 5 p.m. to close out the regular season.
