Women's Soccer turned on the attack in the second half of Saturday's contest against the Clarke University Pride.
The Ravens turned a halftime deficit into a 3-1 win at home.
Down 1-0 at halftime, the Ravens wasted little time in leveling the score in the second half. Rachel Beffa lined up a corner kick and Annabelle Hoog was on the other end, heading it in for the goal to make it 1-1, 4 minutes into the second half.
With 27 minutes to play, Nicole Patterson unleashed a shoot from deep that curled over the keeper's reach to give the Ravens a 2-1 lead.
Not done yet, Christine Znidarsic sent a shot in just moments later that was saved, but Hoog was there to punch it into the net to push the Ravens lead to 3-1. The (RV) Ravens cruised the remainder of the match to earn the win and improve to 6-4 on the season, and 3-1 in Heart of America play.
The Ravens weren't able to get their attack going in the first half and the Pride grabbed the lead 8 minutes into the action. Taking a short corner, Clarke sent a cross into the box and scored on a header to move in front 1-0. They carried that lead into halftime, but the Ravens responded in a big way in the second half.
The Ravens outshot the Pride 20-8 and earned an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks. After Clarke scored on their first shot of the match, Olivia Berry made 4 saves the rest of the way to give the attack a chance to come back.
Next up for the Ravens is a road match at William Penn University on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
