OSKALOOSA, Iowa – Women's Soccer used a three-goal second half to pull away on Tuesday night against William Penn University.
The Ravens scored twice within three minutes in the second half en route to a 4-1 win over William Penn to move to 4-1-0 in Heart play.
Caysi Brown gave the Ravens a 1-0 lead off an assist from Rachel Beffa during the 29th minute as the Ravens used 11 shots in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
William Penn netted the equalizer during the 49th minute before the Ravens took the lead during the 67th minute before pulling away.
Madeline Stewart scored on a free kick from just outside the box to give the Ravens back the lead during the 67th minute before Beffa netted a goal on a corner kick during the 70th minute. Madalynn Gill scored off an assist from Sam Mausbach during the 83rd minute to give the Ravens the three-goal win.
Benedictine finished with a 21-5 advantage in shots, led by Christine Znidarsic with 4.
Olvia Berry earned the win in goal, playing into the 83rd minute before giving way to Mackenzie Korzenecki.
Benedictine is off until Oct. 5 when they host Heart rival Baker University on Legacy Field at 5 p.m.
