Men's Basketball picked up their first Heart of America win Saturday afternoon at home.

The Ravens took down the Clarke University Pride, 79-70, in a game that was tight from start to finish.

After leading 34-31 at halftime, the Ravens fell behind early in the second half. A basket by Braden Belt with 7:15 to play put the Ravens back in front, 58-57. From that point on, the Ravens maintained their lead and salted away the game late at the free throw line. The Ravens knocked down 11 free throws in the final 4 minutes as the Pride fouled in an attempt to extend the game.

Brycen LaRue was a big factor in the second half, scoring 20 points in the final 20 minutes and knocked down all three 3-pointers he took. He also made an important 3-point play in the closing minutes to help the Ravens keep their lead and finished with a team-high 22 points.

Gino Corridori finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds while Braden Belt scored 13 points. Ezrah Vaigafa had 9 points to go along with 6 assists.

The Ravens held a 19-15 lead through the opening 10 minutes of action, thanks in large part to getting good looks close to the basket. The Ravens had 12 points in the paint by the first media timeout and were shooting 62% from the field.

The Ravens cooled off a bit as they went into halftime with a 3-point lead. They shot 52% from the field in the opening half and made 3-of-7 from 3-point range. The battle in the paint was close, with the Ravens holding an 18-16 advantage at the half. Corridori was a force for the Ravens, scoring 12 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in the opening 20 minutes.

The Ravens finished the game shooting 51% from the field and 50% from 3-point range.

With the win, the Ravens improve to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in Heart of America play. They'll take on the Peru State Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on their home court.
