Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Hot-shooting (RV) Central Methodist beats Men's Basketball on the road

FAYETTE, Mo. – Benedictine Men's Basketball returned to the road on Wednesday to take on (RV) Central Methodist University in Heart play.

The Eagles connected early and often while the Ravens just couldn't get their shots to fall consistently as CMU earned a 90-58 win.

It took the Eagles just over 5 minutes to build a 10-point lead over the Ravens as Benedictine was limited to 3 field goals over that time period – one from Ahmad Louis and two from Gino Corridori.

Brycen LaRue was able to give the Ravens a spark off the bench offensively midway through the first half. He finished the half hitting 4 of 8 to finish with 8 points as the Ravens trailed 44-20.

In the second half, the Ravens were able to connect on 46.7 percent from the floor but just couldn't get their shots to fall from beyond the arc as they hit 3 of 12 to finish the game at 13 percent.

Benedictine finished with 32 points in the paint and a 28-24 advantage off the bench. LaRue led the bench scoring 15 points and was matched by Corridori with 15.

The Ravens host Culver-Stockton College at 2 p.m. Saturday back inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium. Saturday also marks the annual Christmas Joy Toy Drive with free admission to fans who bring a new toy to donate to the toy drive.
