PARKVILLE, Mo. – Top-seeded Park University ended Benedictine Volleyball's run in the Heart Championship Semifinals on Tuesday night, sweeping the Ravens 3-1.
The Ravens fell 25-18, 25-21, 25-6, to move to 21-8 on the year and will now wait until Monday to find if they've done enough to qualify for the NAIA postseason as an at-large selection.
Benedictine hit their match-high .156 in the second set, finishing the set with 14 kills as the Pirates pulled away late to earn the 4-point win. The Ravens finished the match with 29 kills, hitting .070 as the Pirates finished with 7 team blocks. Hokulani Sagapolu led the attack with 8 kills while Sabrina Oncins added 7. Regan Bruggeman added 6 to round out the Ravens top hitters.
Amber Allen finished with 12 assists while Haley Cahill added 11 as the Ravens totaled 27 assists on their 29 kills.
Defensively, Evelyn Arreola finished with 24 digs while Sagapolu added 13.
