Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

(1) Women's Lacrosse earns 18-goal win over Midland University

FREMONT, Neb. – The non-conference schedule continued on Monday afternoon as Women's Lacrosse took on Midland University on the road.

The top-ranked Ravens earned their second win of the season, taking down the Warriors 21-3.

Benedictine jumped out to a 10-0 lead with just inside two minutes remaining in the first quarter. Kaylen Moore started off the scoring for the Ravens and put the Ravens up by 10 off an assist from Solei Geist.

The Ravens held a 29-7 advantage in shots, holding Midland without a shot in the first quarter.

By halftime, the Ravens had extended their lead to 15-0, and that lead extended to 16-0 before Midland scored the first of their three goals.

Moore finished with 6 goals to lead 8 Ravens who scored in the win. Courtney Frankfurth added 5 goals and 1 assist. Chanterra Allen scored 3, while Kiera Russel and Grace Simonson scored 2 each. Claudia Garcia and  Christen Michaelides joined Geist with a goal each. Moore, Kiera Russell, Allen, Geist, Simonson, Frankfurth, and Regan Engle all recorded an assist. 

Gianna Stalletti played the first half in goal with two saves in the win. Molly Owen played the second half and also recorded two saves. 

Benedictine won 22 of 28 draws as Moore finished with 12 draw controls. Russel added 5 while Garcia finished with 4. Allen also led the Ravens with 4 ground balls and 4 caused turnovers.

The Ravens play their home opener on Thursday at 4 p.m. as they host No. 8 Missouri Baptist University on Legacy Field.
