WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Top-ranked Women's Lacrosse bounced back from their second loss of the season earlier in the week with a 15-10 win over Siena Heights on Wednesday morning.
Benedictine built a 10-2 lead by halftime and then finished with a 35-16 advantage in shots as they earned the win in a game played at Keiser University.
The Ravens opened the game with six unanswered goals. Chanterra Allen started the scoring before Kaylen Moore and Kiera Russell made it 3-0. Moore scored two more before Allen capped off the opening quarter to push Benedictine up by six.
The two goals scored by Siena Heights in the second quarter book-ended three goals from Courtney Frankfurth and a goal from Solei Guest as the Ravens built their halftime lead.
Frankfurth went on to score two more goals in the second half to finish with a team-high 5 goals. Moore, Russell, and Allen scored 3 goals each with Geist adding the final goal. Grace Simonson finished with 3 assists while Moore, Russell, Allen, and Giest added an assist each.
Moore finished with 21 draw controls. The Ravens finished with 16 caused turnovers as a team, led by Gemma Weinberg with 3.
Gianna Stalletti earned the win in goal, playing the first half and recording 4 saves. Molly Owen played the second half in goal.
Benedictine wraps up their trip to Florida with a game against (RV) Ave Maria on Thursday at 4 p.m.
