SALINA, Kan. – Volleyball moved to 3-0 on the season with a 3-2 win over (RV) Kansas Wesleyan University on Tuesday night. 

The two teams traded set wins with Benedictine earning wins of 25-23 and 25-21 in the first and third set before earning a 15-9 win to seal the win.

Three players reached double figures in kills as the Ravens finished the match with 57 kills at an attack percentage of .157. Regan Bruggeman led the attack with 13 kills while Mary Pat Taylor and Carolina Zapata added 12 each. Maura Lickteig added 9 kills to give the Ravens a balanced attack. 

Amber Allen anchored the attack with 45 assists as the Ravens finished with 56 assists as a team. 

Defensively, Taylor led the way with 19 digs. Evelyn Arreola added 18, Hokulani Sagapolu chipped in with 16 while Allen added 12. Zapata finished with 4 block assists, followed by Allen and Lickteig with 3 each. Lickteig recorded the Ravens lone solo block as they finished with 8 total team blocks.

Benedictine remains on the road for a trip to Bellevue, Neb., for the Bruins Labor Day Classic on Friday and Saturday.
