WICHITA – Men's Soccer earned its second win of the season, wrapping up their season-opening road swing with a 2-0 win over Friends University.
Benedictine wasted little time, scoring the first goal of the match 43 seconds in on a goal from Adem Aroura, off an assist from Diego Acuna.
The Ravens maintained the 1-0 lead through the break and into the 68th minute when they added on a second goal. Acuna connected with Aroua again to make it 2-0.
Friends scored on a penalty kick during the 76th minute before the Ravens held them scoreless for the remainder of the match to earn the win.
Benedicite finished with a 17-14 advantage in shots, 8 of which were on goal.
Noah Reuscher earned the win in goal for the Ravens, tallying 6 saves over 90 minutes.
The Ravens host Avila University on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in their first home match of the season on Legacy Field.
