Men's Soccer came up short at home Wednesday evening.
The Ravens lost a hard-fought 1-0 match against the Graceland Yellowjackets.
The Ravens and Yellowjackets were scoreless through the opening 45 minutes and the stats reflected the tight score. Both sides notched 7 shots with 3 of those coming on goal. Ravens keeper Noah Reuscher was strong in set pieces, coming out to clear balls on the Graceland free kicks.
The Ravens pressed forward in the second half looking for a leading goal, but that aggressiveness came back to bite them. The Yellowjackets cleared a Ravens free kick and were able to send a long ball forward for a 2-on-1 advantage that resulted in the only goal of the game.
The Ravens continued to search for an equalizing goal, but balls into the box were cleared and runs with the ball were met with contact from the Yellowjackets.
Reuscher made 6 saves in goal for the Ravens.
Next up will be another home contest for the Ravens (5-2-1, 1-1 Heart) as they host Culver-Stockton College at 5 p.m. Saturday on Legacy Field.
